Topic: Discuss the role of enterprise bargaining in the Australian system of employment relations
Paper details:
This Course studies the full range of employment relations matters with particular emphasis on the impact of these issues on the Australian system of employment relations. The role of unions, employers and governments will be studied in detail as they would have been studied in the past in industrial relations courses. However, given the changes that have occurred in labour markets in general and the Australian labour market, in particular, matters regarding the employment of individuals as opposed to groups of individuals being represented in workplaces will be given due weight in this course. The course will consider the public policy issues that arise from the study of employment relations, particularly questions of equity and efficiency in organisations and labour markets.
